Mr Primitive Music

 The Day Before is a song about life on submarines (I served on one in the Navy) and the subtleties that go with it. It's a very atmospheric song, lots of open space like the ocean. I initially wanted more percussion, but as I was making it, I found I like the sparseness of the simple beat. I employed that on other songs on the album.
